bourton-round-post-boucle-queen-bed
BH | Studio Bourton Round-Post Bouclé Queen Bed

The post bed, four corner posts joined by rails with a board at the head and foot, is among the plainest and oldest kinds of bedstead. Bouclé, a yarn spun with tiny loops that give the cloth a pebbled surface, came into upholstery with mid-century modern interiors, and it lends that old frame a soft, tactile warmth.

Here the padded headboard and footboard are upholstered in soft white bouclé whose loops catch the light, framed by four round posts of solid wood in Almond or Chestnut on a kiln-dried wood frame. The headboard rises to about 46 inches with padding to lean back on for reading, while the lower footboard keeps the outline light. Wood slats carry a standard queen-size mattress with air flowing underneath, so a box spring is unnecessary. Rated to hold 794 lbs, it needs assembly.

Use it in a primary bedroom or a guest room where you want texture to do the decorating. White bouclé with solid wood reads calm and gallery-clean: pair it with crisp white sheets, a caramel wool blanket folded at the foot, oak bedside tables, a pleated paper lamp and walls in warm plaster or soft greige. A single large abstract above the headboard is all it needs. This listing is for the bed frame only; mattress and bedding are not included.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0751/5632/4487/files/bramley-house-bourton-round-post-boucle-queen-bed-cream-with-almond-frame-01-front-pr.webp?v=1793571509
