HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

On the Costa Blanca, not far from Altea, the village of Gata de Gorgos has woven baskets, chairs and hampers by hand for generations, and Mediterranean Spain still keeps woven furniture on its terraces and in its cool, shaded rooms. Woven pieces are light to move and easy on the eye.

This small table is hand-woven rattan shaped into an hourglass, flaring out at the foot and again beneath the top, so it looks almost turned. On top sits a round metal tray in a warm gold tone, its rim raised so a glass or cup stays put. The tray lifts away for carrying drinks or snacks to the table, and the woven base is firm underfoot.

Stand it beside a linen sofa with a carafe of water and a dish of oranges, or at a bedside with a lamp and a book. It makes a pretty plant stand in a sunroom and suits a beach house or a coastal living room. White walls, jute and pale wood keep it fresh.

Care

Woven rattan
Brush or vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment to lift dust from the weave, and wipe with a barely damp cloth when needed. Keep away from heat and direct sun, which dry the fibres.

Metal tray
Wipe with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and dry straight after. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, which can scratch the gold-toned finish.

A Note on Natural Variation
Where natural materials such as rattan are used, slight variations in colour and weave from one piece to the next are to be expected, and give each its own character.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
