HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Rounded edges, warm wood, and not a hard corner on it. This chest speaks fluent 1970s, the decade that took hard-edged modernism and softened it, trading chrome and glass for timber and surfaces you actually wanted to touch. Here that easy, tactile spirit comes in its purest form: storage, with every edge rounded off. Modern, without a hard line in it.

Handcrafted from solid timber in a warm russet finish, it stacks three deep drawers behind a clean, unbroken face, drawn on slim brass handles, and rests on a single rounded base rail rather than four cut legs. Softly bullnosed at every edge and satisfyingly solid, it is a chest with genuine character: part storage, part sculpture, wholly at home in a bedroom or a hallway.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

Brass
Dust the knobs with a soft, dry cloth. The brass is finished to look antiqued, so it wants nothing more than a wipe — no polishing needed, the aged look is the point.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
