HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Some tables are kept for best. This is one for every day. The round pedestal has always been the practical heart of a busy kitchen: one central column means chairs and elbows go where they please, with no corner leg to bark a shin on, and one more person always seems to fit.

A perfectly balanced circular top sits on a substantial turned baluster column that spreads onto a shaped, cross-footed base, keeping the whole thing firmly planted. In a warm chestnut finish, it makes no secret of the solid wood it is made from: every grain line and knot left as part of the story.

This is the anchor for your most-used rooms, from a bustling eat-in kitchen to a light-filled dining nook. It is the stage for morning coffee and homework and your most spirited dinner arguments, built to be used, loved, and handed on.

Care

Timber
Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe with a barely-damp one. Use mats and coasters under hot dishes and drinks; solid wood marks with heat and moisture. Avoid harsh or silicone-based cleaners. Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

Pedestal base
Check the fixings where the column meets the top and plinth once or twice a year and gently firm any that have loosened. Lift to move it — never drag.

A note on handmade variation
Grain, knots, and tone vary from board to board; each table is a one-of-a-kind original.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
