HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Riveted iron and plain dark wood were the stuff of the late nineteenth-century workshop, where machinists' cabinets, drafting stands and factory benches were built to take hard use for decades. Designers and loft dwellers brought that frank, bolted look home in the later twentieth century, and in a room of steam and splashes it makes natural sense.

The same piece, wider: a black metal frame with an aged finish and exposed bolts at each corner, dark brown wood-grain side panels, and a pair of doors on pivot hinges with black bar pulls. Behind the doors a shelf, cut away at the back to clear the pipes, holds spare towels. A fixed drawer front with its own pull runs across the top of the cabinet. The ceramic top, in White or Jet, is countertop and basin in one seamless piece, with 8-inch centerset faucet holes, so you choose the fittings; faucets and fixtures are sold separately. Arched legs stand on non-marking pads.

Thirty inches gives a little more counter for a toothbrush cup, a soap dish and a small plant, a good fit for a hall bathroom or the main bath in an apartment. The look is loft and farmhouse at once: pair it with white subway tile, a black-framed mirror, caged sconces and a striped cotton towel. This listing is for one vanity cabinet with its ceramic top and basin.

Care

Wood finish
The side panels are engineered wood with a wood-grain veneer. Dust with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe occasionally with a barely damp one, drying straight after. Wipe up splashes and standing water promptly, especially along the top edge of the cabinet and around the base and legs, and keep the bathroom well ventilated so moisture does not linger. Keep out of direct sun and away from radiators and heat vents.

Ceramic basin
The countertop and basin are ceramic, made in one piece. Clean with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth, then rinse and wipe dry. Avoid scouring pads and harsh chemicals, which can dull the glaze.

Metal frame
The metal frame and pulls have an aged patina finish. Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe with a barely damp one when needed, drying straight away so water does not sit on the metal. Avoid abrasive cleaners and metal polishes, which can wear the patina.

Installation
Install and connect like any freestanding vanity, ideally by a licensed plumber. Once it is in place, check that it stands level and steady on the floor.

A Note on Natural Variation
Where natural materials such as wood are used, slight variations in grain and colour from one piece to the next are to be expected, and give each its own character.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
