HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

A stack of swelling rounds, one above another, is a classic shape, and once you have noticed it you see it everywhere: on stair spindles, on candlesticks, on the legs of old tables. It lasts because the only way to make it is to turn the wood while it spins, and nothing else gives quite the same effect.

Here the whole base is that one idea, turned from solid wood in a warm russet, with a small marble top laid flat on the end of it. Ten and a half inches across, eighteen high, and heavier in the hand than its size suggests.

It is a drink table and nothing else, which is why the base can afford to be this decorative. Put it beside a chair, let it hold a glass and a book, and let it be the interesting object in the corner. At this size the shape is the whole point, and this one has a shape worth looking at.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: Solid hardwood base in a russet finish, stacked bulbous shaping, marble top.

Product dimensions: Height 18 in, Width 10.8 in, Depth 10.8 in, Weight 44.09 lbs.

Boxed dimensions: Height 22 in, Width 14.8 in, Depth 14.8 in, Weight 52.91 lbs.

Care

Marble
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry it off. Blot spills straight away, particularly wine, citrus and anything oily, as marble is porous and will mark. Use coasters and skip acidic cleaners.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
