HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

There's a utilitarian quality to a round table: no head, no foot, everyone within equal reach of the conversation and the butter. The Georgians made the most of it, which is how the round pedestal breakfast table became a fixture of the well-run morning room.

This is that idea kept simple: a circular solid-wood top on a single hand-turned baluster pedestal, rising from a round, stepped plinth that stands perfectly steady without a leg in sight. Here it is finished in a deeper, warmer chestnut, the richer tone drawing out the figure and movement in the grain. It is sized for a breakfast nook or an intimate dining corner. The shape does the rest, trading the hard edges of a rectangular table for something more fluid and companionable: an invitation to pause, linger, and actually enjoy the company you're keeping.

Care

Timber
Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe with a barely-damp one. Use mats and coasters under hot dishes and drinks; solid wood marks with heat and moisture. Avoid harsh or silicone-based cleaners. Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

Pedestal base
Check the fixings where the column meets the top and plinth once or twice a year and gently firm any that have loosened. Lift to move it — never drag.

A note on handmade variation
Grain, knots, and tone vary from board to board; each table is a one-of-a-kind original.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
