HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

The Victorians had a real genius for the small chair, the low, deeply buttoned sort on castors that could be wheeled across the drawing room to wherever the conversation had got interesting. This is a direct descendant: a petite tub chair with a scrolled, roll-top back, tufted front to back, and just enough attitude to earn its corner. Upholstered in a multi-tonal Heritage Tweed, a warm herringbone shot through with russet and blue check, it brings a proper hit of academic texture to a small footprint, and it still rolls where you need it, on turned wooden legs finished with brass castors. Tuck it into a bookish corner, a bedroom reading nook, or a landing that's always felt a little unfinished; it's the little chair everyone somehow ends up wanting to sit in.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: Petite accent chair, hand-carved 100% solid hardwood, upholstered in heritage tweed, deep button tufts, 2 caster legs at front and 2 tapered legs at back with a warm oak finish.

Boxed dimensions: Height 30.71 in, Width 28.35 in, Depth 25.59 in, Weight 34.17 lbs.

Care

Tweed upholstery
Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment to keep the weave even and the tufting crisp. Spot-clean spills promptly with a clean, damp cloth and a little mild soap, then blot dry. Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight to preserve the colour.

Timber legs & castors
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Check the castor and leg fixings once or twice a year, keep the wheels rolling freely, and take a little care on soft or easily-marked flooring. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
As each piece is upholstered by hand, slight variations in the weave, check alignment, and tufting are natural and unique to your chair.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
