We will email you when it ships.

Furniture made to order cannot be hurried, and we would not want it to be.

HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Rattan is a climbing palm, split, soaked and woven into furniture for centuries for a single reason: it holds its shape while staying light and open, which solid timber never quite manages. Woven into a basket panel, it turns a plain door into something textured, shadowed and obviously made by hand.

Two rattan-panelled doors sit in a solid hardwood frame in a warm amber, raised on turned bun feet and drawn by slim brass pulls. Behind them is honest closed storage on interior shelving, so the texture stays on show while the clutter stays hidden.

It works as a small sideboard in a dining room, a landing spot in a hall, or a quiet accent anywhere a plain wall wants warmth.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: 100% solid hardwood in a warm amber finish, two handwoven rattan door panels, brass handles, interior shelving, turned bun feet.

Product dimensions: Height 33.2 in, Width 35.2 in, Depth 14.8 in, Weight 77.16 lbs.

Boxed dimensions: Height 34 in, Width 39.2 in, Depth 18.8 in, Weight 88.18 lbs.

Care

TimberKeep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the surface keeps the finish fed. Wipe spills quickly rather than letting them sit.

Woven rattanDust with a soft brush and keep it out of damp rooms. If it starts to look dry, a barely damp cloth will help it hold its shape.

BrassDust with a dry cloth. Leave the brass to darken on its own if you like that, or bring it back with a little metal polish on a soft cloth, kept off the wood.

StabilityThis is a tall, shallow piece, which makes it easy to tip if it is leaned on or a drawer is left open and loaded. Secure it to the wall with an anti-tip strap, especially in a home with small children.

A note on handmade variationThis piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in colour and dimension are part of it and not faults.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
