Made to Order

This piece is not waiting in a warehouse. It gets made for your order, which takes roughly 12 to 16 weeks, plus shipping time.

We will email you when it ships.

Furniture made to order cannot be hurried, and we would not want it to be.

HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

An arch cut into a cabinet door softens the whole piece. It's the one shape that reads as architectural rather than decorative, borrowed from doorways and windows long before it ever reached furniture, and it stops a square cabinet looking like a box.

Two arched doors panelled in hand-woven cane sit in a solid hardwood frame in a warm amber, on brass knobs and turned ball feet.

Behind the doors it takes dinnerware in a dining room, bottles and glasses in a sitting room, or the overflow of a kitchen that has run out of cupboards. Cane behind an arch turns up all over the warm-climate houses the Comporta range borrows from: the arch for the architecture, the weave for the air. Closed storage that still reads light.

Care

TimberKeep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the surface keeps the finish fed. Wipe spills quickly rather than letting them sit.

Woven rattanDust with a soft brush and keep it out of damp rooms. If it starts to look dry, a barely damp cloth will help it hold its shape.

BrassDust with a dry cloth. Leave the brass to darken on its own if you like that, or bring it back with a little metal polish on a soft cloth, kept off the wood.

StabilityThis is a tall, shallow piece, which makes it easy to tip if it is leaned on or a drawer is left open and loaded. Secure it to the wall with an anti-tip strap, especially in a home with small children.

A note on handmade variationThis piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in colour and dimension are part of it and not faults.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
