HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

An arched door is a small piece of architecture. Cut the opening as an arch rather than a rectangle and a sideboard stops being a cupboard and starts being a piece of furniture.

Two arched door fronts filled with a hand-woven herringbone panel, set into solid wood in a warm amber finish, on generous turned ball feet. The weave is close and solid, so the arch reads as shape and texture rather than as a window.

Inside is generous and undivided, with a single shelf. It takes dinnerware in a dining room, glasses and bottles in a living room, or the overflow of a kitchen that has run out of cupboards. At thirty inches wide it will sit under a window or between two doorways without demanding a wall of its own.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: Solid hardwood in an amber finish, arched door panels hand-woven in a herringbone pattern, turned ball feet, one shelf inside. Each piece is finished by hand, so grain and tone shift a little from one to the next.

Product dimensions: Height 28 in, Width 30 in, Depth 14 in, Weight 52.91 lbs.

Boxed dimensions: Height 28.8 in, Width 34 in, Depth 18 in, Weight 61.73 lbs.

Care

Woven rattan
Dust with a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction, working along the weave. Keep it out of damp rooms and away from direct heat, which dries the fibre and makes it brittle.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
