HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

The best furniture makes a quiet suggestion about how to use a room. This one seats two side by side, with a solid block of chestnut timber set between them: part armrest, part shared surface, entirely a nudge to sit down, put your drink on the wood, and stay a while.

It's a study in contrast: two plush cream bouclé seats with all the give you'd want, bridged by a linear, grounding column of warm timber. Soft against hard, pale against dark, comfort against structure. Call it a cocktail bench, a conversation seat, or a piece of sculpture that happens to hold two people and a pair of martinis; it reads as intentional geometry from across the room and as effortless hosting up close. Built for the home where every piece is chosen to make gathering look easy.

Care

Bouclé
Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment. If a loop snags, snip it level with scissors — never pull it. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight; a pale bouclé shows soiling, so treat marks promptly.

Timber
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Since the central block invites a drink, use coasters or mats — solid wood marks with heat and moisture. Avoid harsh cleaners, and keep out of direct, sustained sunlight to preserve the chestnut tone. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
As the frame is hand-finished and the seats hand-upholstered, slight variations in grain, tone, and texture are natural and unique to your piece.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
