HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Claret is the deepest finish in the Langham range, a dark red-brown that goes almost black at the edges of a lamp-lit room. In daylight it shows its red; after dark it simply reads as weight in the corner of the room.

Solid wood with carved spindle legs, a single drawer on a classic brass knob and an open shelf below it. Twenty-four inches high and eighteen wide, so it stands a little above most mattresses and puts the surface where your hand expects it.

A drawer for the things that should not be on show and a shelf for the book you are halfway through: that is the whole specification of a good bedside table, and most of them get it wrong by adding more. The spindle legs keep the floor visible underneath, which matters in a bedroom where every other piece sits solid on the boards.

Care

Metal knobs
Dust with a soft, dry cloth; keep polish off the surrounding wood.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
