HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

A round table has a sociability the cornered ones lack: nothing to catch a hip on, no wrong side to sit at, and it slips into the odd gap a square piece can't. This little one earns its keep beside a chair or a bed, and does it with a bit of character in the legs.

Built from solid wood in a warm russet finish, it stands on bobbin-turned legs, that knobbly, stacked-bead turning beloved of seventeenth-century joiners and revived in the spool furniture of the 1800s, beneath a smooth round top just big enough for a lamp, a drink, and the book you're halfway through. A lower round shelf adds a second surface for a small stack of books or a folded something, so a compact piece still pulls real weight.

Pull it up beside a reading chair or a sofa arm, use it as a round bedside where a boxy one would feel heavy, or stand it in a corner with a plant and a pile of journals. In russet, its curves are a warm, quiet relief in a room full of straight lines.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
