Made to Order

This piece is not waiting in a warehouse. It gets made for your order, which takes roughly 12 to 16 weeks, plus shipping time.

We will email you when it ships.

Furniture made to order cannot be hurried, and we would not want it to be.

HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

A sideboard is the workhorse of the well-run room, long, patient and endlessly useful, and most of them pay for that usefulness by being a bit dull below the waist, a solid box on stubby feet. This one solves that by standing on bobbin-turned legs, that knobbly stacked-bead turning beloved of Jacobean joiners.

Built from solid hardwood in a warm amber, with three central drawers set over two generous cupboards: proper capacity for linens, serving pieces, and the general overflow a room accumulates. Warm brass-toned pulls catch the light along the front.

It has real presence, yet those bobbin legs keep it from feeling heavy or planted. It will happily do its original dining room duty, and it's just as at home along a hallway or beneath art in a living room. Storage that doesn't apologise for being storage.

Materials & Dimensions

Care

TimberKeep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the surface keeps the finish fed. Wipe spills quickly rather than letting them sit.

Brass knobsDust with a dry cloth. Leave the brass to darken on its own if you like that, or bring it back with a little metal polish on a soft cloth, kept off the wood.

StabilityThis is a tall, shallow piece, which makes it easy to tip if it is leaned on or a drawer is left open and loaded. Secure it to the wall with an anti-tip strap, especially in a home with small children.

A note on handmade variationThis piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in colour and dimension are part of it and not faults.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
