HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Driftwood is the palest finish we put on the Langham pieces, a salted, sun-bleached grey-brown that reads almost white in a bright room and shows its warmth only when the light goes low.

Solid wood with turned spindle legs and a smooth rounded top, thirty-two inches across and sixteen high. No drawer, no shelf, nothing underneath, so the floor runs clear beneath it and the room keeps whatever space it had.

It belongs in a room with a lot of light and not much colour: linen slipcovers, bare floors, windows that stay open. Against pale walls and bare boards it looks as though it has spent a summer outdoors, which is exactly the effect it is finished for.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
