HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Turned spindle legs are the detail that runs through the Langham pieces, and on a console they do something particular: four thin turned posts under a long top keep the whole thing visually light even at four feet wide.

Charcoal is the darkest finish in the range, and it makes the turning read as silhouette rather than as texture. The top is slim and rectangular, with nothing under it and nothing in it, so the piece is entirely about its profile.

Against a pale wall it draws a dark line at waist height, which is exactly what a hallway with nothing else going on needs. Behind a sofa it does the same job in reverse, closing off the back of a floating seating group without putting a solid wall behind it.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
