HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

A marble-topped table is a small indulgence that pays for itself every day: cool, smooth, faintly luxurious, and completely unbothered by a sweating glass or a hot cup. This one keeps the luxury but loses the heaviness, thanks to a pale, salt-washed base carved into soft sculptural curves.

The base is solid wood in a soft, salted finish, pale and lightly weathered, shaped by hand into the kind of curving, sculptural form you'd happily look at even without the top. Above it sits a smooth slab of natural marble, cool and quietly veined, each one a little different from the next. At 24 inches tall it stands a touch higher than the average accent table, which makes it a natural beside a deep sofa or a low armchair.

Set it next to a chair with a lamp and a drink, float it at the end of a sofa, or let it stand alone as the small, sculptural moment a room sometimes needs. It's compact enough to slip in almost anywhere and interesting enough to be noticed once it's there.

Care

Marble
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry it off; skip anything acidic, as marble is porous and vinegar, citrus, and wine can etch or stain it. Stand glasses on a coaster and blot spills quickly rather than letting them sit. An occasional pass of stone sealer keeps the surface protected.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece. A pale finish shows marks a little more readily than a dark one, so wipe spills promptly.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood, and each marble top is one of a kind — natural veining, tone, and small variations occur in both and are not faults. They are simply the character of natural materials. If you are ordering more than one, order them together where possible, as pieces can differ slightly.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
