Made to Order

This piece is not waiting in a warehouse. It gets made for your order, which takes roughly 12 to 16 weeks, plus shipping time.

We will email you when it ships.

Furniture made to order cannot be hurried, and we would not want it to be.

HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

The sideboard is one of those pieces that quietly runs a house, and it has done since the late 1700s, when Georgian cabinetmakers like Hepplewhite and Sheraton worked it into the form we know: somewhere to keep the good china, land the serving dishes, and hide everything you'd rather not have on display.

This one is solid hardwood in a deep chestnut, its ends softly rounded so there's no corner to catch a hip in a dining room where chairs are always being pushed back. Three smooth-gliding drawers sit above two generous cabinets, on turned feet, with slim brass handles drawing the long front into rhythm.

Keep it in the dining room doing its original job, or let it wander: along a hall wall to catch keys and mail, beneath a television, even in a bedroom. It has the presence to anchor a wall and the storage to earn the space.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: 100% solid hardwood in a deep chestnut finish, softly curved ends, three central drawers, two cupboards, slim brass handles, turned feet.

Boxed dimensions: Height 29.2 in, Width 62.4 in, Depth 18 in, Weight 136.69 lbs.

Care

TimberKeep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the surface keeps the finish fed. Wipe spills quickly rather than letting them sit.

BrassDust with a dry cloth. Leave the brass to darken on its own if you like that, or bring it back with a little metal polish on a soft cloth, kept off the wood.

StabilityThis is a tall, shallow piece, which makes it easy to tip if it is leaned on or a drawer is left open and loaded. Secure it to the wall with an anti-tip strap, especially in a home with small children.

A note on handmade variationThis piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in colour and dimension are part of it and not faults.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
