HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

True comfort lives in the pieces that wrap around you like a well-tailored winter coat. Upholstered in a multi-tonal grey tweed shot through with fine russet and blue overcheck, this tub-style armchair has a gently curved, enveloping back and a clean, smoothly tailored finish: a chair that holds you rather than merely seats you.

Consider it the easygoing cousin to our grander estate seating: it trades the imposing, button-heavy architecture of a Chesterfield for a sleeker, low-profile silhouette with smooth, uninterrupted lines and softly rolled arms. Raised on hand-turned solid-wood front feet in a pale natural tone, its dense, textured weave brings an instant layer of inviting, academic warmth to any corner: the accent chair a room quietly organises itself around.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: Fully upholstered in heritage tweed, 100% solid hardwood frame, sheltering arms, 2 hand-turned front legs and 2 tapered back legs with warm oak finish, single seater.

Product dimensions: Height 31.5 in, Width 27.6 in, Depth 25.6 in, Weight 30.86 lbs.

Boxed dimensions: Height 35.43 in, Width 31.5 in, Depth 29.53 in, Weight 35.27 lbs.

Care

Tweed upholstery
Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment to lift hair and keep the weave even. Spot-clean spills promptly with a clean, damp cloth and a little mild soap, then blot dry. Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight to preserve the colour.

Timber legs
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Check the leg fixings once or twice a year and gently firm any that have loosened with use. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
As the frame is hand-carved and hand-finished and the chair hand-upholstered, slight variations in carving, tone, and weave are natural and unique to your piece.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
