HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Bouclé earns its keep in a room full of hard surfaces. The looped yarn catches light in a way that flat weave does not, so a simple shape in bouclé always has something to look at: no pattern needed and no trim, because the texture is the pattern.

A generous cream bouclé ottoman, thirty-three inches by twenty-one, set on short wooden legs that keep it clear of the floor without lifting it into the room. Big enough for two people to put their feet up at once, which is the test a smaller footstool always fails at about nine in the evening.

Keep it in front of a leather or linen sofa where the texture has something to play against. Add a tray if you want it to double as a table, though it is honestly better as what it is. Cream in a well-used room wants a cover you can take off and wash, and bouclé takes one well.

Care

Bouclé
Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment to keep the loops even. Spot-clean promptly with a clean, damp cloth and a little mild soap, then blot dry. Snags can be eased back into the weave rather than cut.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
