HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

No drawers at all is a bold choice for a bedside table and the right one if you like a bedroom that reads as calm rather than as storage. What you can see is what is there, which forces a useful honesty: you keep only what you are prepared to look at.

The whole piece is one continuous S-curve of solid wood in a warm chestnut, the top sweeping over and back on itself to form the shelf below, with a single slim brass rod set vertically through the turn to hold the geometry. Twenty-four inches high, eighteen wide, with the lower shelf set low enough to reach from lying down.

The curve is the argument. A rectangular bedside is a box you put things on, while this one has a line that carries your eye round it, which matters beside a bed where you see the thing at close range every day. The brass warms as it ages and will not stay the colour it arrives in.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: Solid hardwood in a chestnut finish, continuous S-curve with an integral lower shelf, slim brass support rod.

Product dimensions: Height 24 in, Width 18 in, Depth 14 in, Weight 22.05 lbs.

Boxed dimensions: Height 28 in, Width 22 in, Depth 18 in, Weight 26.46 lbs.

Care

Brass
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Leave the patina to come on its own; polish only if you want it bright.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
