HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

There's a reason mid-century designers kept reaching for cane: a woven panel does the work of a solid one while letting light and air pass straight through, so a piece this size never reads heavy. This console leans on that trick three times over.

A clean solid-wood frame in a warm, open-grained amber finish holds a caned top and two caned shelves below, with a pair of drawers on slim brass pulls: open, airy, and endlessly useful behind a sofa, along a hallway, or by the front door. The kind of console that stores what you need and seems to float where a solid one would loom.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: 100% solid hardwood, amber finish, hand-woven rattan shelves, 2 drawers with slim brass handles, open rattan lower shelves.

Product dimensions: Height 31.5 in, Width 47.24 in, Depth 13.78 in, Weight 66.14 lbs.

Boxed dimensions: Height 35.43 in, Width 51.18 in, Depth 17.72 in, Weight 79.37 lbs.

Care

Timber
Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills promptly; avoid harsh or silicone-based cleaners on the finish. Ease the drawers gently rather than forcing them, and check the leg fixings once or twice a year. Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

Rattan panels
Dust with a soft brush and wipe occasionally with a barely-damp cloth, drying promptly. Don't overload the woven shelves or press down on the webbing, and keep away from very dry heat, which can slacken the weave over time.

Brass handles
Buff gently with a dry cloth; leave the natural patina to develop.

A note on handmade variation
As the frame is hand-finished and the rattan hand-woven, slight variations in grain, weave, and tone are natural and unique to your console.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
