HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Most side tables give you a surface and maybe a drawer. This one gives you a small chest's worth of storage without the bulk: two drawers over two open shelves, all carried on classically turned legs.

Built from solid wood in a warm chestnut finish, a soft, toasty mid-brown that shows the grain, it stands a generous 32 inches tall, high enough to reach easily from a chair or a taller bed, on a slim 14-inch-deep footprint that tucks against a wall without eating into the room. The drawers up top hide the clutter; the shelves below hold books, baskets, or a few things worth displaying.

Set it beside a wing chair or a high-backed sofa, use it as a bedside with real storage, or stand it in an entry as a slim, hard-working catch-all. It's proof that a side table can hold a great deal more than it lets on, and in chestnut it reads warm and unfussy, easy to place in almost any room.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

Stability
This is a tall, shallow piece, which makes it easy to tip if it's leaned on or a drawer's left open and loaded. Secure it to the wall with the included strap, especially in a home with children.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
