HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

In the villages of France, from Provence to Alsace, painted wooden shutters with tilted blades are closed against the midday sun while still letting the house breathe. Cabinetmakers carried those louvers onto armoire and cabinet doors, where stored linen needed air as much as shade.

The largest size carries the same build at full width: two broad louvered doors on soft-close hinges, slim black pulls, and inside, long shelving with a cutout at the back for the plumbing, deep enough for towels, baskets and bulk supplies. One wide ceramic basin, in Jet or White, is formed into the countertop, leaving generous space on either side, and the top is drilled with 8-inch centerset faucet holes. The hardwood cabinet has a golden honey finish, rests on leveling feet with non-marking pads, and is rated to 200 lbs. Assembly is required.

Forty-eight inches gives a primary bathroom or a busy family bath a real countertop, wide enough for two people to get ready side by side. Make it the warm centre of the room: a long mirror or two arched mirrors, a pair of brass or black sconces, cream tile, a teak stool and a tray of glass bottles for oils and bath salts. This listing is for one vanity cabinet with its single ceramic basin and top.

Care

Wood cabinet
Dust with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe occasionally with a barely damp one, drying straight after. Wipe up splashes and standing water promptly, especially along the top edge and around the base. A soft brush lifts dust from between the louvers. Keep the bathroom well ventilated so steam does not linger on the wood.

Ceramic basin
Clean the integrated basin and countertop with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth, then wipe dry to keep water marks at bay. Avoid scouring pads and harsh chemicals, which can dull the glaze.

Installation
Install and connect this vanity as you would any freestanding vanity, ideally with a plumber. Use the leveling feet to set it level and steady on the floor.

A Note on Natural Variation
Where natural materials such as wood are used, slight variations in grain and colour from one piece to the next are to be expected, and give each its own character.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
