Woven rattan and plush bouclé make an easy pair: one crisp and open, the other soft and deep. This bench sets them right on top of each other, and that contrast is the whole charm of it.

The base is fully hand-woven rattan, the legs curving up into open arches that keep it light on its feet rather than sitting like a solid block. On top rides a generous cream bouclé cushion: the tight, tactile weave you want to run a hand across, over the padding you actually want to sink into. Texture first, comfort second, and it gives you both. There is an old, sun-warmed Mediterranean ease to woven seating like this, and this one wears it well.

Set it at the foot of a bed, along a hallway, beneath a window, or at the end of a kitchen table where people tend to perch. Coastal in spirit, comfortable in practice, and quietly handsome from every angle.

Care

Woven rattan
Dust with a soft brush to reach into the weave and wipe occasionally with a barely-damp cloth, drying promptly. Keep away from damp and very dry heat, both of which can brittle or loosen natural rattan, and avoid resting concentrated weight on the woven sides.

Bouclé cushion
Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment. If a loop snags, snip it level with scissors — never pull it. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Keep out of direct, sustained sunlight to preserve the cream tone.

A note on handmade variation
As the rattan is hand-woven and the cushion hand-upholstered, slight variations in weave, tone, and texture are natural and unique to your bench.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
