Serafina Woven Drum Table with Ball Feet

There's a warmth that only comes from a piece made almost entirely by hand, the kind you feel before you can name it. This round drum table has it in spades: it's hand-woven top to base, a tight natural weave that reads less like furniture and more like an oversized, beautifully made basket.

The weave runs unbroken over the whole form, up the sides and across the flat top in a neat concentric spiral, bringing an immediate organic texture to a room. This version is raised on small turned wooden ball feet, a light touch that floats the drum just clear of the floor and sets a warm note of solid wood against all that weave. It's the sort that softens hard corners, warms a cool palette, and makes a space feel gathered rather than decorated. And because it's round and low, with no hard edges or sharp corners, it's as easy around children as it is handsome.

Set it before a linen or slipcovered sofa in a bright, easy room, whether a sunroom, a coastal living space, or anywhere the light is good and the windows stay open. Style it simply: a stack of well-thumbed books, a shallow bowl, a single stem in a bud vase. It's the piece that makes everything around it feel a little more relaxed.
