HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

A good cabinet is one of those unglamorous heroes of a well-run house: solid doors, a couple of shelves, and everything you'd rather not look at tucked neatly out of sight. This one brings a weathered, country-Swedish charm to that humble job.

Built from solid hardwood in the family's aged, stone-washed finish, built up over several stages so the grain lifts and the surface reads weathered rather than painted. It's a shallow two-door piece that sits close against a wall without jutting into the room. Round brass knobs open onto interior shelves.

That shallow depth makes it endlessly placeable: down a hallway that can't spare the floor, in a dining room for linens, in a bathroom for towels, or in an entry for the odds and ends of coming and going.

Materials & Dimensions

Care

TimberKeep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the surface keeps the finish fed. Wipe spills quickly rather than letting them sit.

BrassDust with a dry cloth. Leave the brass to darken on its own if you like that, or bring it back with a little metal polish on a soft cloth, kept off the wood.

StabilityThis is a tall, shallow piece, which makes it easy to tip if it is leaned on or a drawer is left open and loaded. Secure it to the wall with an anti-tip strap, especially in a home with small children.

A note on handmade variationThis piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in colour and dimension are part of it and not faults.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
