HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Deep vertical fluting around a round table is the single most effective thing you can do to one, because it turns a flat edge into a run of fine shadows that move as you cross the room. A plain cylinder in the same wood would be half the piece.

What you cannot see is the better half of it. The entire top lifts on brass hinges to a deep interior well that runs the full width of the drum, so a coffee table that looks like a solid block of timber swallows the throws, the controllers and the magazines with nothing on show.

Thirty-two inches across and only fourteen high, in a warm chestnut, so it sits low against a deep sofa where a taller table would cut across the sightline. Style it with almost nothing: the side of this table is the thing worth looking at, and anything you leave on top has to come off before the lid opens.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
