HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

A bedside cabinet with doors instead of open shelves is the choice you make for one reason: you would rather not look at what is beside the bed. Some bedrooms want their contents on display and some very much do not.

Solid wood in a warm chestnut with fluting worked across the front, a single drawer above and two cabinet doors below, all on brushed brass handles. Twenty-four high, twenty wide, sixteen deep, which is a larger bedside piece than most and holds correspondingly more.

The drawer takes the small things and the cupboard takes everything else, which in most bedrooms means books, a charger and whatever came off the top of the chest when guests arrived. The fluting keeps a closed front from reading as a blank panel beside the bed.

Care

Brass handles
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Leave the patina to come on its own; polish only if you want it bright.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
