BH | Studio Stamford Slatted 48-Inch Wall-Mount Vanity

Slatted wood was one of the quiet signatures of Scandinavian modern design at mid-century, and British homes took it up with enthusiasm in the 1950s and 60s, on sideboards, room dividers and wall-hung cabinets. Brought into the bathroom of an old English stone town like Stamford, it makes a hardworking cabinet look as considered as anything else in the house.

This one hangs on the wall, so the floor runs clear beneath it and the whole bathroom looks bigger. The slatted front is in three sections: soft-close doors at either end with adjustable shelves behind, and two full-extension drawers in the middle that open all the way for brushes, cosmetics and medicines. A curved ceramic basin in White or Jet is moulded into a long one-piece countertop, with 8-inch centerset faucet holes and room either side to set things down. The cabinet is engineered wood in a smooth wood-grain laminate.

It is right for a primary bath with heated floors, a contemporary renovation or any room where you want the tile to run wall to wall. Hazel or Almond warms up grey stone and white walls; light the floor beneath with an LED strip, hang a long mirror above, and keep a pair of matching towels on a heated rail. This listing is for one wall-mount vanity cabinet with its ceramic basin top; the faucet, drain and wall fixings are not included, and assembly is required. It installs like any wall-hung vanity.
