HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

The sunburst was Art Deco's favourite emblem of the modern age, its rays spread across skyscraper elevator doors, the fronts of wireless sets and the gates of 1930s houses. Laid in wood across a cabinet front, it gives a room a centre and a little of that era's confidence.

This one is a 24-inch vanity built from solid wood and engineered wood in Almond or Alabaster, standing on a slim brass-finished base with non-marking pads under each foot so tile and wood floors stay unscuffed. Rays fan out across the two doors from a central circle, and a pair of long, slender brass pulls meets at the centre. Open them and there are shelves for spare towels, toilet paper and the bottles that crowd a countertop. On top sits a rectangular ceramic basin in White or Jet cast with a narrow ledge of counter around it, drilled for an 8-inch widespread faucet, the kind with separate hot and cold handles. Assembly is required.

It suits a powder room or a small guest bath where a 24-inch footprint is all the wall allows. The slim brass base keeps a small room feeling light: hang a round mirror in a thin brass frame above, add a brass sconce on either side, a stack of white waffle hand towels and a stoneware soap dish, against walls in warm white or soft sage. This listing is for the vanity cabinet and its ceramic basin top.

Care

Wood cabinet
Dust with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe occasionally with a barely damp one, drying straight after. Wipe up splashes and standing water promptly, especially along the top edge and around the base. A soft brush lifts dust from the grooves of the sunburst door front. Keep the bathroom well ventilated so steam does not linger on the wood.

Ceramic basin
Clean the integrated basin and countertop with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth, then wipe dry to keep water marks at bay. Avoid scouring pads and harsh chemicals, which can dull the glaze.

Metal base
Wipe the brass-finished base and pulls with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishes and scouring pads, which can wear through the finish.

Installation
Install and connect this vanity as you would any freestanding vanity, ideally with a plumber.

A Note on Natural Variation
Where natural materials such as wood are used, slight variations in grain and colour from one piece to the next are to be expected, and give each its own character.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
