HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

The sunburst was Art Deco's favourite emblem of the modern age, its rays spread across skyscraper elevator doors, the fronts of wireless sets and the gates of 1930s houses. Laid in wood across a cabinet front, it gives a room a centre and a little of that era's confidence.

Two basins in one 48-inch top let two people get ready at the same time, which ends the morning rush in a shared bathroom. The ceramic top, in White or Jet, is moulded with both basins, 8 inches apart with 24 inches between the drain holes, and each is pre-drilled with 8-inch centerset faucet holes. Below, the black cabinet in solid wood and engineered wood carries the full sunburst across its two doors, with long brass pulls at the centre and shelves inside for towels and two sets of toiletries. A slim brass-finished base stands on non-marking pads. Assembly is required, and it installs like any double vanity, with a drain for each basin.

It is made for a primary bath shared by a couple, or a kids' bathroom where two brush their teeth side by side. Hang two matching mirrors, one over each basin, with a sconce between or beside them, and give each side its own cup and towel. White walls, black and white floor tile and brass faucets complete the Deco look. This listing is for the vanity cabinet and its ceramic double-basin top; faucets and fixtures are not included.

Care

Wood frame
The cabinet is solid wood and engineered wood. Dust with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe occasionally with a barely damp one, drying straight after. Use a soft brush to lift dust from the grooves of the sunburst door front. Wipe up splashes and standing water promptly, especially along the top edge of the cabinet and around the base and legs, and keep the bathroom well ventilated so moisture does not linger. Keep out of direct sun and away from radiators and heat vents.

Ceramic basin
The countertop and both basins are ceramic, made in one piece. Clean with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth, then rinse and wipe dry. Avoid scouring pads and harsh chemicals, which can dull the glaze.

Metal base
The base and the long slim pulls have a brass finish. Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe with a barely damp one when needed, drying straight away. Avoid abrasive cleaners and metal polishes, which can wear through the finish.

Installation
Install and connect like any freestanding vanity, ideally by a licensed plumber. Once it is in place, check that it stands level and steady on the floor.

A Note on Natural Variation
Where natural materials such as wood are used, slight variations in grain and colour from one piece to the next are to be expected, and give each its own character.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
