HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Two drawers and two open slots is more useful than three drawers, because half of what lives beside a bed is something you want to see and reach without opening anything. The slots are there because that is how people actually use a bedside table.

Solid wood in a warm chestnut with rounded edges, two drawers on polished knobs and two open storage slots beside them. Twenty-two inches high and sixteen wide, which is tall enough for a high bed and narrow enough for a room where the bed is already close to the wall.

It sorts itself without being asked: books in the slots, everything else in the drawers, and the top kept for a lamp and a glass. The rounded edges are a practical detail on a piece you walk past in the dark, and a quiet one on a piece you look at every morning.

Materials & Dimensions

Materials: Solid hardwood throughout, chestnut finish, rounded edges, two drawers on polished knobs, two open slots.

Care

Metal knobs
Dust with a soft, dry cloth; keep polish off the surrounding wood.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
