HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

There's a quiet authority to a fluted, tapered leg: the kind you'd find under a Gustavian chest or a Louis XVI commode. It's the leg of Neoclassical furniture, all clean lines and carved fluting, and it lends even a small bedside table a sense of architectural order.

Built from solid wood in a soft almond finish, pale and sun-bleached, this three-drawer bedside stands on carved, fluted tapered legs and wears round brass knobs that warm against the pale wood. Three roomy drawers give you proper bedside storage, the book, the glasses, the charger, the odds and ends, stacked in tidy Neoclassical symmetry.

Set a pair either side of a bed for a calm, orderly, faintly Swedish look, or use one beside a chair. It's a bedside with the bones of something grander: restrained, symmetrical, and quietly elegant.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

Metal knobs
Dust the handle with a soft, dry cloth. Left alone, the brass will mellow and darken a little with time, which most people come to prefer. If you like it bright, an occasional gentle brass polish brings it back — just keep the polish off the surrounding wood.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
