HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

In the old houses of Andalusia, the mesa camilla was the heart of a winter evening: a round table with a small brazier tucked beneath it, where the family drew their chairs close and warmed their hands. A round surface on a single solid support still gathers people the same way.

Here a broad disc of wood veneer, smooth and dark, rests on a short metal column set inside a wide steel drum. The drum is powder coated in a burnished metallic tone, and because it sits well in from the edge, there is room for knees and feet all the way round. Adjustable levellers underneath settle it on an uneven floor, the build is strong and steady, and it needs some assembly.

Pull it up to a deep sofa or a sectional, ready for a tray of coffee cups, a bowl of clementines and the weekend papers. Terracotta walls, cream upholstery and a plaid throw bring out its warmth.

Care

Wood veneer top
Dust with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe occasionally with a barely damp one, drying straight after. Use coasters under glasses and hot dishes, and keep out of direct sun and away from radiators and heat vents to protect the wood.

Metal base
Wipe with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and dry straight after. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, which can scratch the powder-coated finish.

A Note on Natural Variation
Where natural materials such as wood veneer are used, slight variations in grain and colour from one piece to the next are to be expected, and the burnished metal finish may show gentle shifts in tone. Both give each piece its own character.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
