HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

A console with no drawers and no shelf is a piece of architecture rather than storage, and that is the whole appeal of it. It draws a horizontal line where a room needs one and asks for nothing in return, which is a rarer thing in furniture than it sounds.

Forty-eight inches long and only fourteen deep, in amber-finished hardwood. The edges are softly curved, the legs squared off, and that curve on the top edge is the only ornament the piece allows itself. Nothing opens and nothing adjusts.

Put it where you need a horizontal line rather than a cupboard: behind a sofa, along a landing, under a long mirror in a hall. A lamp at each end and a bowl in the middle is all it ever needs, and anything more starts to argue with the simplicity you paid for.

Care

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
