HOUSE NOTE · ABOUT THIS PIECE

Fluting on a cupboard door is an old way of solving a dull problem. A flat panel at eye height gives the light nothing to do, while a fluted one does the opposite: it turns the same board into a run of fine vertical shadows that shift as you cross the room.

Solid wood in a pale driftwood finish with both doors fluted across their full width, long brass-toned bar handles, and generous turned bun feet underneath. Thirty-three high, thirty-two wide, fourteen deep, with a single shelf behind the doors.

The size is the other thing worth noting. At fourteen inches deep it will fit a narrow dining wall or a hallway where a full-depth sideboard would make the room unwalkable, and at under three feet wide it does not demand a wall of its own. The pale finish lets the fluting read as texture rather than as shadow, which a dark wood would not.

Care

Brass handles
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Leave the patina to come on its own; polish only if you want it bright.

Timber
Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. An occasional pass of beeswax on the unpainted wood keeps the sheen and extends the life of the piece.

A note on handmade variation
This piece is made by hand from solid wood. Grain patterns, knots, and small variations in tone or dimension occur naturally and are not faults. If you are buying several pieces to sit together in one room, order them together where possible, as batches can differ slightly in colour.

Shipping & Returns

Most pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days and arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Pieces marked Made to Order are built after you order, and the timing shown on that piece applies instead. Larger items ship by freight, and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery time that suits you. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A few addresses, typically islands, peninsulas and remote rural routes, carry an additional fee from the carrier. If that applies to yours, we will email you the exact amount before your order is released, and you can accept it or cancel for a full refund.

Please inspect your piece on arrival and keep the packaging until you have. If anything is damaged or incorrect, photograph the piece and the box including the label, then email support@bramleyhousehome.com within 24 hours. We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Because each piece ships directly from the maker, we are not able to accept returns for change of mind.
